This policy explains how 8Ball Consulting collects, uses and protects personal data through this website, www.8ballconsulting.com, and the rights you have under the Saudi Personal Data Protection Law (PDPL) and its Implementing Regulations.

Who we are

8Ball Consulting is the trading name of شركة مكتب الكرات الثمانية للدعاية والاعلان, a single-person limited liability company registered with the Saudi Ministry of Commerce under Unified National Number (commercial registration) 7010217987, of Prince Muhammad Ibn Faisal Ibn Turki St., Al Quds Dist., P.O. Box 13214, Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. We are the controller of the personal data described in this policy.

What we collect

When you send an enquiry through our contact form, we collect:

• your name
• your organisation
• your job title (optional)
• your email address
• your phone number
• the area you are interested in, and the Publish ink plan if you enquire about one
• your message

With each enquiry we also record the page on which you first arrived during that visit, the website that referred you (without its query string), and any campaign parameters (UTM tags) in the link you followed.

If you accept analytics cookies, Google Analytics also collects information about how you use the website, such as the pages you visit, the links you click, your device and browser type, and your approximate location (city or region). See "Cookies and analytics" below.

We do not ask for sensitive personal data. Please do not include it in your message.

Why we use it

• To reply to your enquiry and follow up on it.
• To understand which pages and campaigns lead people to contact us.
• With your consent only, to understand how the website is used so we can improve it.

We do not sell your personal data, and we do not use it for automated decision-making.

Legal basis

We process your personal data on the basis of your consent. You give it when you submit the contact form and, for analytics, when you click Accept on our cookie banner. You can withdraw your consent at any time (see "Your rights"). Withdrawing consent does not affect processing that took place before you withdrew it.

How long we keep it

We keep enquiries for 24 months after our last contact with you, unless a longer period is required by law or you become a client, in which case we keep your records for 10 years after our engagement ends. Google Analytics data is kept for 2 months for event-level data and 14 months for user-level data.

When the retention period ends, we delete the data or make it anonymous.

Who we share it with

We share personal data only with service providers that help us run the website and respond to you, and only as far as they need it:

• Vercel, which hosts the website.
• Resend, which delivers contact form enquiries to us by email.
• Microsoft, which provides our email service (Microsoft 365), where enquiries are received.
• Google, which provides Google Tag Manager and Google Analytics, only if you accept analytics cookies.

Enquiries are delivered by email; the website does not keep them in a separate database. We may also disclose personal data where the law requires it, for example to a competent authority.

Transfers outside Saudi Arabia

Some of these providers process data outside the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, in the United States and the European Union. Where we transfer personal data outside the Kingdom, we do so in line with the PDPL and its Regulation on Personal Data Transfer outside the Kingdom, using appropriate safeguards, such as standard contractual clauses, as permitted under that Regulation.

Your rights

Under the PDPL you have the right to:

• be informed about how your personal data is collected and used (this policy)
• access a copy of your personal data
• ask us to correct, complete or update it
• ask us to delete it when we no longer need it
• withdraw your consent at any time

To use any of these rights, email info@8ballconsulting.com. We will reply within 30 days. If you are not satisfied with our response, you can complain to the Saudi Data and Artificial Intelligence Authority (SDAIA).

Cookies and analytics

The website does not set analytics or advertising cookies unless you accept them. Until you choose, Google Tag Manager and Google Analytics are not loaded at all.

• If you click Accept, Google Analytics sets cookies (named _ga and _ga_ followed by an ID) to distinguish visitors and sessions. Advertising cookies stay off.
• If you click Decline, no analytics cookies are set.
• Your choice is remembered in your browser's local storage, not in a cookie. The campaign details sent with an enquiry are kept in session storage and cleared when you close the browser tab.

You can change your choice at any time with "Cookie settings" at the bottom of every page. If you withdraw consent, we remove the analytics cookies from your browser.

Security

We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect personal data, including encrypted (HTTPS) connections to the website and access limited to the people who need it.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy. The "Last updated" date at the top shows when it last changed.
